Konan Won the Spring-Summer Back-to-Back High School Baseball Tornament (興南高校 春夏甲子園連覇！)

Konan High School became the first Okinawan team to ever win both the Spring and Summer High School Baseball National Championship (aka Koushien). We were pumped when the won in the Spring tournament. But watching the Summer tournament was even more exciting. We went to a big department store to watch the final game with about 200 other people. It turned out to be a blowout in Konan's favor. The semifinal, on the other hand, was one of the most exciting games we've seen in a while -- a come from behind victory. Way to go Konan! Way to represent Okinawa!

今年、興南高校が甲子園を春夏連覇しました！沖縄の学校では初めての快挙でここ地元沖縄ではとても盛り上がりました。私たちも今年の春、優勝した時も興奮しましたが、この夏の甲子園は更にすごかったです。決勝戦は那覇のメインプレイスのサンエー（地元のデパート）のテレビ売り場で試合を見ました。200人以上の人がここで一緒に試合を見てとても盛り上がり、結局のところ、１３－１で興南の快勝でした。決勝相手が私（由美）の地元、東海大相模だったので少し複雑な心境ではありましたが、「郷に入れば郷に従え」で、興南を応援（＾＾）ｖ。接戦で最後の最後まで分からなかった準決勝同様、興南は素晴らしいゲームをしました。
