The Futenma Air Station continues to be a hot topic around here. As you can see from this sign in front of City Hall, Okinawa wants it to leave.
On one rainy day people of Ginowan formed a "human chain" around Futenma Base to show that they do not wish to have a base in their city. And as it turned out, they decided to move the base to the northern part of Okinawa.
普天間基地の問題は地元では激しさを増してきています。宜野湾市役所の建物には「県内に基地はいらない！」と横断幕が掛けられています。
大雨が降った5/16には普天間基地を取り囲む「人の鎖」が出来、県外移設を訴え、県民の意思を伝えていました。私たちの教会の前にも多くの人が雨の中、人の鎖を作っていました。
