Outreach at Tsukihama Temporal Housing (月浜の仮設住宅で炊き出し)

On November 16-17, Pastor Kiyomasa and Taeko Akashi (Logos Christian Fellowship) and Pastor Travis from CC Tokorozawa joined us in Tsukihama for an outreach.  Travis made Kalua pig.  We dished it at at the communal room at the Tsukihama prefabricated housing unit.  Afterwards, we had coffee time and chatted with the locals.  Travis played us a few songs on his guitar. 

The tsunami victims are moving with the recovery and one of the homeowners has started growing vegetables in the place his house used to be.  One of the local fishermen was cleaning his freshly caught fish at a sink that was in one of the places of the empty lots.  They have a long way to go to restoration.  But we want to be a part of the restoration process.   Please join us in prayer for the restoration process.

11/16-17にかけて東京の明石牧師夫妻と所沢のトラビス牧師が東松島の月浜海岸にある仮設住宅で炊き出しの食事を出してくださいました。今回はハワイ出身のトラビス牧師がカルア・ピッグというハワイ料理を用意して下さり、住民の方々に食事をふるまうことができました。食事後、談話室でお茶を飲みながらトラビスさんのギターの弾き語りをしながら色々な話をすることが出来ました。

被災された方々も少しづつ復興に向けて立ち上がっています。今回お話させて頂いた方の中にも数人の方が家が流された跡地などに畑を作り野菜を育てていました。ある男性は早朝釣ってきた魚を流された家の台所を使ってさばいていました。これから復興への長い道のりだとは思いますが、祈りをもって具体的に支援出来たらと願っています。引き続きお祈りください。
