Some of the people here put together a promo video for the Bible College. It is in Japanese, because the idea is to use it to inform potential Japanese students about the college. Check it out!

カルバリーチャペルバイブルカレッジ沖縄の新しいビデオが出来上がりました。このビデオは日本人向けに作られたので日本語には字幕が入っていませんが、是非見て、お祈りに覚えて頂けると嬉しいです。

Calvary Chapel Worship Conference (CCワーシップカンファレンス)

The Worship Conference was a bit shorter than last year's. As usual, Pastor Travis, from Tokorozawa, came and spoke. Pastor Santo from CC West Tokyo also came and shared. Surprisingly, it was his first time to Okinawa, so we showed him around. It was a great conference and a good reminder about the importance of worship.

今年も毎年恒例のカルバリーチャペル・ワーシップカンファレンスが開催されました。今年のスピーカーは去年同様、CC所沢からトラビス牧師が、そして、今年初めてCC西東京から山東牧師とご夫人のせつこさんが来て下さりました。山東ご夫妻にとっては初めての沖縄だったそうです。賛美の大切さを学ぶ素晴らしいカンファレンスになりました。

沖縄出身の衆議院議員のテルヤさんも自分の後援事務所に日本政府に「イエローカード」を出したことを表す黄色い大弾幕がかかっていました。

As you may have seen in the international media, there was a big dispute about what to do with the Futenma Air Station in our city, Ginowan. The former Prime Minister promised to move it off Okinawa, but then failed to deliver. There was a peace rally in Yomitan to protest the base. 90,000 people showed up.

4/25は普天間基地を県内に移設することに対して反対であるという沖縄県民の民意を示すために、県民大会が開かれました。開催場所の読谷村には9万人の県民が最終的に集まったそうです。

Family Picnic (ファミリーピクニック)

Before it got really hot, we had a family picnic at a nearby park in Ginowan. We brought our own bento (boxed lunch) from the supermarket. Everyone had a good time running around in the sun and playing games.

まだ過ごしやすい時期に、教会のみんなで近くの市民公園へ行ってファミリーピクニックをしてきました。ぞれぞれお弁当を持ち寄って、ゲームをしたりして楽しい時間が持てました。

For Chuck's birthday Chuck also received a polo shirt from his mom (the one he is wearing in the picture). I (Yumi) gave him some of his favorite donuts from Mr. Donuts and other goodies. We went out for Sushi and later on met up with our friends from the Bible College for Karaoke.

チャックの誕生日にはアメリカのご両親からもカードとポロシャツ（写真で着ているの）が送られてきました。私（由美）も彼の好きなミスドのドーナツなどをプレゼントしました。夜は回転寿司で食事をし、後でバイブルカレッジの友人たちがいるカラオケ屋さんへ合流しました。

Chuck Received 3-Year Spouse Visa! (チャックの配偶者ビザが3年おりました！)

Yess! Praise the Lord. I (Chuck) received a visa renewal for 3 years. The spouse visa paperwork is a bit easier than a missionary visa. We were very thankful to the Lord.

ハレルヤ！チャックの配偶者ビザが3年おりました！比較的、配偶者ビザのほうが宣教師ビザよりおりやすいとはいえ、1年のビザではなく、3年おりたことに感謝します。

Dinner with Japanese friends from the Bible College (バイブルカレッジの日本人学生＆なつき！をディナーへ招待）

We hosted our Japanese friends for dinner at our apartment and watched the film, Shikari Pass. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Japanese Christian author Ayako Miura. It was a great evening and everyone was stuffed by some good cooking done by Yumi.

4月に入って、バイブルカレッジの日本人学生と硫大生のなつきを招いて、我が家で食事をしました。食事の後に、三浦綾子さんの塩狩峠のDVDを一緒に見ました。実話に基づいた話ですが、まだ見たことない人に是非お勧めです！料理に関しては、由美、今、特訓中！（＾＾）ｖ

Trevor off to Hokkaido (via Canada)

Can it be true? Trevor left Okinawa (after 11~ years) and is now up in Hokkaido serving with the Steve and Michiyo Lorincz. We laid hands on him and prayed for his time in Hokkaido. I'm sure he has mastered the Hokkaido dialect by now. God bless you bro.

なんとあの沖縄に11年以上住んでいた、トレバーが沖縄を去ることになりました。しかし、それも神の導きで、今は北海道のスティーブと美智代さんと共に主に仕えています。私たちの教会ではトレバーのために私たちの宣教師として祈って送り出しました。毎週、水曜日に礼拝の前にみんなで祈ってるよ、トレバー。きっとトレバーのことだから、もう既に北海道の方言は取得したかな（＾＾）v

Chuck Turns "Misoji" (30!) (チャック三十路！)

Hey look. I'm 30 - Chuck speaking. The Japanese term for age 30 is misoji. We had cake with three candles, one for each decade, after Sunday night church service. Thank you, Pastor Tom and CC Ginowan for your thoughtfulness!

チャック、三十路むかえました！おめでとう（＾＾）トム牧師と教会の人たちのはからいでケーキまで焼いてくれました。30本にロウソクはあまりにも多いので、3本にしました！

Easter Outreach in Nago (名護でイースター・アウトリーチ)

For Easter service, we decided to help Pastor Tim in Nago with an Easter outreach. It was quite similar to the one we did at Christmas time. Many of the local kids came out and there was tons of food and music. Please pray for Tim and Ayu.

今年のイースターは名護にある教会のティム牧師を手伝いにみんなで行きました。クリスマスに行ったアウトリーチに似たプログラムで、地元からも沢山の人たちが来てくれて、食事ありの音楽ありの楽しい祝福されて時間となりました。ティム牧師とあゆのために是非お祈りください。
