Day 3: Christmas Lunch (3

On Christmas day, Mama Robb prepared a great turkey and side dishes and Chuck's uncle and aunt provided the ham. It was a feast! It was good to be with family.

Day 2: Christmas Eve Service (2

On Christmas Eve, we joined Chuck's parents at their church: St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Christmas Eve service. The sanctuary and traditional hymns were beautiful. Here is a picture of us in front of a gigantic Christmas tree.

United Airline's Midnight Snack (ユナイテッド航空の夜食)

What's this? United Airlines provided us with ramen on our flight from Tokyo to Washington D.C. It was a midnight snack and tasted pretty good. We were surprised United gave us ramen.

Subuta!

Emi and Aya came to apartment to relax for the afternoon and cooked dinner for us. At our request, they cooked subuta, which is similar to what is called "sweet and sour pork" in America. Thanks ladies!

Gyoza Dinner at the Robbs

At the end of every semester, we invite Bible College students to our house for dinner. This semester we had students over for gyoza! A few of the girls came to help us prepare them. Thanks girls! We also played a few games to finish off the night. What a good time it was!

Ladies Christmas Tea (女性のクリスマスティ)

This year CC Ginowan hosted the first ever Christmas Tea for the ladies. It is common for churches in America to host a Christmas tea like this. A few of us decorated the tables -- Lea helped me decorate mine! It was amazing and looked very nice. Thanks to Bible College students for serving us.

Christmas Joy and Cheer at MELT /クリスマスMELT

This week at MELT (My English Lunch Time) we sang Christmas carols! It was loads of fun. Also, we explained the true meaning of Christmas. Afterward, we ate delicious katsu curry at the Ryukyu University cafeteria. It is the best meal in town for 470 yen.

King Kong Yaki niku (焼肉キングコング)

Before the semester ended, Pastor Rick graciously treated us to lunch at King Kong Yaki niku (barbeque). After our Sapporo trip I kinda have a thing for lamb, so I went easy on the other stuff. Thank you Pastor Rick and CCO.
