Movie Gunjou (群青)

Saturday the 27th of June is the premier of a new Japanese film "Gunjou." Normally we wouldn't care too much, but Gunjou was filmed on Tonaki Jima, and island not far from Okinawa where we have gone to minister. We saw advertisements for it on our last trip. The tourism industry will probably get a jolt because of the popularity of two of the lead stars. But more than anything else, please keep Tonaki Jima in your prayers. We really want to see the people of Tonaki Jima come to Christ.

6/27（土）は「群青」が全国ロードショーされます。私たちは普段、映画の宣伝などはしないのですが、この映画は4月に私たちがアウトリーチで行った沖縄の離島で、実際に行った時も島ではこの映画の話でもちきりでした。この映画を通してこの島の観光も増えるかもしれませんが、それよりも何よりもこの機会にこの島の人たちを覚えてお祈り下さい。1人でも多くの渡名喜島の人たちが救われますように。
