This year's worship conference was a bit different from past conferences in that the conference was held in several different locations (see flyer above).  The theme was "Worship in Hard Times" -- which was chosen well before the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that ravaged mainland Japan.  Also, we had speakers from a wide geographic area: Tokyo, Nagano, and New Zealand.  Mark Walsh, who is the director of Calvary Chapel Bible Institute in New Zealand, taught from Revelation 4, and Yumi translated.  There were also a variety of worship teams from different churches.  It made us think a lot about how important worship is (especially in hardtimes) and how important it is to the church.  There was also a panel discussion with the pastors that gave some good insight about ministry.

今年のワーシップカンファレンスは前回までのものとは異なり、一番上にあるチラシを見てもらえば分かりますが、色々な場所で4月から行われました。今年は「苦難の時にも賛美」というテーマでしたが、驚いたことに、このテーマは今年の始めに、あの3/11の東日本大震災前に決められていました。今年はメッセンジャーとして、牧師が東京をはじめ、長野、遠くはニュージーランドから来て下さいました。マーク・ワォルシュ牧師に関しては前回のブログにも書きかましたが、黙示録4章から教えて下さいました。私（由美）もマーク牧師のメッセージの通訳をすることが出来ました。また、カンファレンス中は色々な教会からの賛美チームが賛美をリードして下さいました。このカンファレンスを通して、私たちキリストのからだである教会が、苦難の中においても主を賛美し続ける大切さを学びました。また、牧師たちによる質疑応答の時間も持たれ、ミニストリーに関する話を更に聞くことが出来ました。
