Sendai Tanabata Matsuri (仙台七夕祭り)

Tanabata is a Japanese summer festival that is based on two stars falling in love.  Stars, as in, up in the sky 'stars'.  Tanabata festivals are held around the country, but Sendai's is particularly unique: it's quite big and they hold it according to the old Japanese calendar (about a month or so different from the modern).  It was our first time checking out the decorations and music in one of Sendai's downtown parks.
