MELT "My English Lunch Time" (MELT@琉球大学)

MELT (My English Lunch Time) is a college ministry at Ryukyu University started by Campus Crusade for Christ over 20 years ago.  CC Ginowan has been participating for the past 4-5 years. It is a free conversational English class at lunch time.  Most students bring their bentos (Japanese lunch box) to the class and eat as we talk.  The Japanese school year just started, so MELT is now in full swing.  It is a great time to meet and spend time with the students.  Most are Japanese, but there are a few Taiwanese and Korean exchange students.  We mix in a little Scripture with the conversation.

MELT (My English Lunch Time) はキャンパスクルセードが20年以上前に琉球大学で始めたキャンパスミニストリーで、CC宜野湾もここ4、5年程、このミニストリーに関わっているそうです。MELTは大学のお昼休み時間を利用して無料で英会話のクラスし、学生たちは食事をしながら参加しています。4月から新年度が始じまり、感謝にも毎週多くの学生が集まってきています。殆どの学生は日本人ですが台湾や韓国から日本語を勉強しに来ている学生も来ています。毎週、英会話クラスには聖書の言葉を取り入れています。
