Saturday, April 23rd. The big day was finally here. We started off the day with a time of prayer and exhortation in the Word. The sanctuary was ready. The place was as clean as we could make it. We practiced our skit a few times in the morning and prepared in case the kids showed up early. I guess it is better to be ready early. The Lord brought about 9-10 kids from town. On top of that, Steve's kids and a neighbor's kid came out. What a blessing! Unfortunately, there weren't any adults that came for the viewing of the Passion film. The team put on a well-organized kid's outreach and all the kid's had a good time. I enjoyed talking with the middle school boys who came. After games and Okinawan snacks, Anna shared the Easter message and taught about the resurrection. She made the Gospel easy to understand for the kids. After cleaning and dinner, we drove back to Sapporo feeling totally blessed by the Lord. We also stopped for soft serve ice cream on the way back!
4/23（土）待ちに待った日がやって来ました！一日は共に祈りとディボーション（聖書を読む時間）から始まり、教会を私たちの出来る範囲で掃除をして礼拝堂の準備も出来ました。午前中に何度かスキット練習をして、午後3時開始予定でしたが、中には早く来る子供たちもいるかもしれないということで早めに準備を終えました。実際始まってみると、9-10人の子供たちが来てくれて、札幌からもルーリンツ夫妻の子供たちと近所の女の子が来てくれました！しかし、１つ残念だったのは大人の方が一人も来て下さらなかったので用意していた「パッション」の映画を上映することは出来ませんでしたが、反対にみんなで子供たちのプルグラムに参加することが出来ました。お祈りと準備のかいあって、プルグラムもとてもスムーズに進み、子供たちも楽しそうでした。中学生の男の子たちも数人来てくれて、ゲームをしたり、沖縄のお菓子を食べたりして、最後にはアンナがイースターの復活のメッセージを話してくれました。子供たちに分かりやすく話してくれたんで子供たちもよく理解でしたようです。プログラム終了後、教会の掃除をし、札幌へと戻りましたが、チーム全員がこのプルグラムを通して主から祝福を受けて、みんな喜びで一杯でした。
