Caesarea Phillipi (ピリピ・カイザリア)

We headed northeast from Tel Dan and arrived at Caesarea Phillipi. It was at this site that Jesus asked his disciples, “Whom do men say that I am?” It was also a place of idol worship to the god Pan, amongst others.

テル・ダンを後に次はピリピ・カイザリアへ行きました。ここでイエスが弟子たちに「あなたがたは、わたしをだれだと言いますか。」と聞いた場所だと言われています。また、ここでパンという偶像をはじめ、偶像礼拝が行われました。
