Eilad (エイラド)

After Masada, we continued driving south through the desert to Eilad, southern-most Israeli city. It borders Jordan one one side and Egypt on the other. After a short visit to a laundromat next to a kosher sushi restaurant , we went for a swim in the Red Sea. It was ice cold but felt so good after being in the desert all day. We stayed in a hostel called "the Shelter." It is run by Christians, so they had scripture written all over the outside of the building.

マサダへ行った後、次は砂漠をひたすら運転してイスラエルの最南の町、エイラドへ行ってきました。ここはヨルダンとエジプトの国境に位置しています。「コーシャー寿司屋」の隣にあるコインランドリーへ寄った後、紅海へ泳ぎに行ってきました。一日中、砂漠の中にいたので、「海の水は冷たかったけれど気持ちが良かった～。」そうです。その夜はクリスチャンが経営する「シェルター（避難所）」というユースホステルに泊まりました。ホステルの外には聖書の言葉が沢山書いてありました。
