Valley of Megiddo (メギドの谷)

One of the things I was looking forward to the most was the trip to Tel Megiddo. It was amazing to see all that the archaeologists have unearthed: altars, gates, etc. The secret tunnel to provide water for the city while under siege was perhaps the highlight. It is also amazing to think of how much will take place in the valley of Megiddo in the end times.

このイスラエルの旅行で楽しみにしていた場所の一つはテル・メギドでした。ここで祭壇やゲートなどが発掘されていて、とても興味深かったです。包囲されていた時に町へ水を送るために造られた秘密のトンネルも見てきました。また、この同じメギドで終末時に多くのことが起きるとの預言が聖書に書かれているのでとても勉強になりました。
