Mt. Bental (ベンタル山)

One of the last stops on our trip was Mt. Bental. We kept calling it “Mt. Bento” for kicks (A bento is a Japanese box lunch). On top of the mountain there is a touristy coffee shop next to an Israeli military lookout post and bunker. It is an interesting combination. It is only a few kilometers away from the Syrian border and would be the front line if war were to break out.

今日の最後のストップはベンダル山でした。この山の上には1枚目の写真にあるようなコーヒーショップがイスラエル軍の監視所と貯蔵庫にありました。また、ここはシリアの国境から数キロのところ位置していて、もし戦争が始まるならここが最前線になると考えられています。
