Yes. "Big Red" is going to mainland Japan this week. We decided to ship the church's new van for use in Tohoku.
As some of you know, a group of us are heading up to Tohoku this weekend. From June 20th and July 1st, we will be up in the Higashi-Matsushima area and the surrounding, doing some relief work and ministry. But God gave us an idea to send this van to Tohoku instead of renting a van there. Here is a picture of me (Chuck) at the port. We look forward to what the Lord is going to do through this trip and seeing everyone's face when they see a van with an Okinawa license plate in NE Japan :-)
教会のステーションワーゴン（別名：レッド・バン」）が今週、東北へ向けて出発します。
ご存知の方も多いと思いますが、6/20から7/1まで私たちの教会から宮城県の東松島、またその町周辺で支援活動とミニストリーをするため行くことになりました。実はこの宣教旅行を計画する中で、神さまは面白いことに、そちらでレンタカーを借りる代わりに沖縄から教会の車を一台送ったらどうかというアイデアを私たちに与えて下さいました。結果的に、この方向で話は進み、先日、車を港へ引き渡してきました。来週からの2週間、神さまがなされることに期待しつつ、また、東北で沖縄ナンバーの車を見かける人たちの反応を楽しみにしています:-)
