“Spam Musubi” Lunch and Craft Time for the Ladies ("スパムむすび"のランチ＆ハワイのクラフト)

"スパムむすび"を近所のくにこさんと作りました。

At the same time that the guys were cleaning the beach, there was another group.  The other group helped clean Saito-san’s house near the evacuation center.  Some of th ladies broke off from the group and made Hawaiian "Spam Musubi" (almost like Okinawa’s Pork Egg Onigiri – minus the egg).  In the afternoon, ladies from Hawaii team did a craft with the ladies and kids at the evac center.  They had brought bags to share and to paint.  Everyone designed their bags with their favorite Hawaiian stamps etc.  

一つのグループが月浜海岸の掃除をしている間、もう一つのグループは避難所の近所に住む斉藤さんのお宅の家の掃除をしました。後にハワイの「スパムむすび」（沖縄で言う卵抜きのポークおにぎりのようなもの）を作り避難所の皆さんに振る舞いました。午後にはハワイの女性陣が持ってきたハワイのバックの飾り付けをしたりして避難所の女性と子供たちを誘ってクラフトの時間も持ちました。
