Surprise! (再会！)

Guess who Yumi ran into at Tsukihama Beach?  Yoko-san from Atlanta!  As Yumi was walking on the beach to clean the second day, she met a new lady from Shizuoka.  Yumi remembers thinking she looked very familiar.  And then Yoko-san said, "I know you.  Did you live in the States?"  Yumi said, "I lived in Atlanta for college."  Apprently, they knew each other from that time, when Yumi visited Yoko-san's church for Japanese Christian fellowship.  It's been over 12 years since we last saw each other.  What a small world that we live in!  Yoko-san actually came from the States with her granddaughter and her Taiwanese friend. 

何と、月島海岸で清掃している時、あるクリスチャンの姉妹と再会しました。ようこさんとは私（由美）が大学時代に米国のアトランタで住んでいた頃に地元の日本人教会で会った姉妹です。この日は2日目の月浜の清掃の日で、静岡から来たチームメンバーの方々に会いました。私も自己紹介をしたところ、ようこさんが「あら、あなた知ってるわよ。アメリカに住んでなかった？」とのこと。私は訳も分からず、「アトランタで大学時代住んでいましたが。」というと、アトランタにある日本人教会でお会いしたことがあるのを思い出しました。あれから12年以上も経っていますが、まさか東北でこのように再会するとは本当のこの世は（特にクリスチャンの世界は）狭いですね。今回はお孫さんと米国在住の台湾人のお友達と帰国されたそうです。
